Keeping your microphone clean
Microphone exterior surfaces can be wiped down with a cloth containing a cleaning and possible disinfecting component when desired. General liquid surface cleaners and disinfectants, as well as aerosol sprays are OK to use on exterior surfaces. A clean, soft-bristle toothbrush can also be used to clean between the strands of grille wire if needed. Avoid liquid contact with the microphone diaphragm as damage may occur. After surface cleaning, be certain to let the grille thoroughly air dry before use.
If a deeper cleaning is desired and your microphone contains a removable grille, remove the threaded-on grille and soak the grille (containing inner foam components) in hot soapy water containing your chosen detergent. Be certain to let the grille and foam components thoroughly air dry before use.
Due to the nature of how they are used, judicious care and hygiene practices are recommended when using any voice microphone.
